Our School Advisory Council (SAC) met and voted unanimously for the uniform policy stated below. (This was developed to be in line with the Middle School Dress Code.)

  1. Shoes must be closed heel and toe, and preferably worn with socks. Shoes with laces must be tied at all times. Crocks and sneakers with wheels, high heels and platform shoes are prohibited for safety reasons. (Please consider Velcro shoes if your child hasn't mastered tying yet.)
  2. Blue jeans (WITHOUT ANY RIPS/TEARS/HOLES) may be worn ONLY ON FRIDAYS if the student wears an Elbridge Gale School Spirit T-shirt or School Spirit embroidered collared shirt. (Blue Jeans MAY NOT BE WORN WITH SOLID COLOR COLLARED SHIRTS OR OTHER T-SHIRTS.)
  3. Solid color Pants, Bermuda Shorts, Skirts, Skorts or Jumpers may be worn in Navy, Black, Khaki/Tan, White, Green, Purple, Brown, and Gray colors. Bottoms should be worn at the natural waistline and should not be more than 2-3 inches above the knee. Basketball shorts, jogging shorts/pants, or sweatpants are not dress code.
  4. Long or short-sleeved collared shirts in any color are acceptable. We have collared polo shirts and T-shirts with our school logo available for sale online several times a year. School shirts may be worn ANY day of the week - BUT NOT WITH JEANS until Fridays. Mondays are college shirt days with dress code bottoms, not jeans.
  5. SOLID color T-shirts or any printed t-shirts are not part of the dress code and should not be worn.
  6. Hoodies/Sweatshirts ARE NOT PART OF THE DRESS CODE. The ONLY SWEATSHIRT students may wear is the type that zips all the way down the front. WE HAVE ZIP SWEATSHIRTS FOR SALE WITH OUR LOGO on the website.
  7. Leggings are NOT part of the dress code. Athletic-wear-type leggings are not part of the dress code and should not be worn as pants.
  8. No undergarments should stick out above the waist of pants.

All district dress code rules must be followed in addition to the EGES dress code. Please donate any uniform clothes that your child has outgrown. We will keep these available for needy students. If you would like to receive some donated uniform clothing please call (561) 422-9300. PLEASE LABEL ALL JACKETS!
